Tech Tip: Google Timer
I don't typically use a timer when I work on things. I might start using this timer to help me when I've taken too long on an assignment. I know that sounds silly, but for example a couple assignments for this class have said approximate time: 60 to 90 minutes, and I didn't realize that I've been working on it for 2 hours. It isn't a bad thing to spend time on an assignment, but my problem is I start working on it but I'm so distracted by my phone, the tv, laundry, or whatever it is, that it takes me way longer to do assignments than it should. I need to start timing my tv time and other things. Also, I might use it for when I've been sitting for too long. In our day in age, we sometimes sit for hours on end without realizing it. I might set timers when I am working to remind myself to stand and walk around or maybe get some water.

Heather, this is a really cool tech tip. I also often have trouble with getting distracted by my phone and the TV with kills my productivity. I think your idea to use the Google timer for limiting those things is a really great idea. I think that is something I will probably try out in the future when my productivity is really important.
