Tech Tip: Embed Tweet
Tech Tip: Hashtags and Retweets
https://twitter.com/OnlineMythIndia/status/816363829173088256
I retweeted this tweet because it was a picture of a massive sculpture of Jatayu. It was the first picture that caught my eye from the twitter feed that was something I was familiar with. The sculpture is also beautiful and absolutely huge!
The hashtag that got my attention was #UnescoWHS. I had no idea what it meant so I decided to do some looking. I ended up looking it up on Wikipedia and it is a World Heritage Site that is officially recognized by the United Nations.

Tech Tip: Quote
I tried using Vizzbuzz but no matter what I did, it would not download the image I created with my quote I added, it kept the quote that they had at the beginning.
Tech Tip: Quote
I used BeHappy to make this picture quote. This was not my favorite app, you can not do very much on the image.
Tech Tip: Blogger Template
A chose a new design for my blog. The first one I picked, I had picked it in a rush at the beginning of the class. It was a little too silly with all the birds. I really liked the new design I picked! I love water color/marks.

Tech Tip: Google Timer
I don't typically use a timer when I work on things. I might start using this timer to help me when I've taken too long on an assignment. I know that sounds silly, but for example a couple assignments for this class have said approximate time: 60 to 90 minutes, and I didn't realize that I've been working on it for 2 hours. It isn't a bad thing to spend time on an assignment, but my problem is I start working on it but I'm so distracted by my phone, the tv, laundry, or whatever it is, that it takes me way longer to do assignments than it should. I need to start timing my tv time and other things. Also, I might use it for when I've been sitting for too long. In our day in age, we sometimes sit for hours on end without realizing it. I might set timers when I am working to remind myself to stand and walk around or maybe get some water.
Tech Tip: Weather Widget
I added a weather gadget to my blog! I thought that was pretty cool. If you want to know how to do it for your own blog go here.
Tech Tip: Canvas Notifications
Last semester was the first time I used Canvas and was not aware that you could change all the notifications settings. I was getting 500 (it seemed) notifications about one thing but nothing about other things. At the beginning of the semester I went in and found out that it had been sending notifications to my old email that I don't use anymore. I now have it set up to send me less notifications on most things but now it sends me emails and notifies me on my phone for more important deadlines. I wish you could turn different notifications off for different classes. Like for this class I get notifications for every time something has been graded. Well yes I know, I just took the "quiz"/declaration and I know I got all the points. It has been a little annoying. I don't want to turn off notifications for when things have been graded though because I have other classes that have grades on Canvas. Maybe in the future they will have options that you can change for different classes.

Tech Tip: Canvas App
I have already been using the Canvas app for last semester since all (except one) are using Canvas instead of D2L. At first I was not a fan of it because I was so used to D2L, but now that I am accustomed to it, I would never go back. D2L did not make a calendar with all your assignments or make a to do list with your assignments. D2L also did not have an app. Their mobile version was horrible. I would only use D2L on the full desktop version. I also really like the notifications I receive for when I have things due or tests coming up. The messenger system is also an easy way to contact teachers.

Tech Tip Cheezburger
I like cheesy puns and my cat is all black like this one, so I thought "why not?"
